Nordic Studies on Alcohol and Drugs, in collaboration with Center for Alcohol and Drug Research, Stavanger University Hospital, invites researchers and practitioners to submit papers to a thematic supplement on substance use and ageing.
The aim is to present updated knowledge on how changing trends in alcohol and drug use and related problems are connected to ageing, how substance use related problems in an ageing population represent a challenge to the prevention and treatment service systems and how service staff and relatives caring for older people in their homes or supported housing handle alcohol related problems
Five types of submissions are accepted
- Research reports based on original empirical research
- Review articles, e.g. systematic or narrative reviews of empirical research, policy reviews, reviews of statistics on trends in use and related problems
- Articles on theoretical issues
- Shorter reports on practice development projects
Papers can be written in English or in a Scandinavian language. Papers must be submitted online, following ordinary journal policies, rules and peer-review procedures:
