Nordic Studies on Alcohol and Drugs
Nordic Studies on Alcohol and Drugs is a journal for social research on alcohol and drugs and their related policies mainly from a Nordic perspective. The journal is published both in the Scandinavian languages and in English.
Although the journal covers all kinds of addictions, it has an emphasis on alcohol and illicit drugs. Nordic Studies on Alcohol and Drug has an international readership that includes researchers, alcohol and drug policy authorities, politicians, voluntary organizations, the treatment sector, the alcohol monopolies, and the media. Nordic Studies on Alcohol and Drugs publishes research reports, commentaries, reviews, book reviews, conference reports, and Nordic alcohol statistics.
From the year 2010 the journal is functioning under the auspices of NVC, but is still co-financed by The Finnish National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL), The Swedish National Institute of Public Health (FHI), The National Institute for Alcohol and Drug Research (Sirus/Norway), the Danish National Board of Health (Sundhedsstyrelsen). The Finnish and Swedish alcohol monopolies support the journal with subscriptions.
